Summary:Originally from the United States, Steven Weathers is producer of Cafe Zhou and Foreigner Perspective. He is also a bi-lingual event host and regular television host on Shanghai Media Group's International Channel Shanghai (ICS). Weathers has hosted a weekly show called Shanghai A-Z, regular features for a live show Expo 360, and he was a travel host for nine episodes filmed all around China for a special series entitled China Untapped. Weathers is known throughout China for acting the role of Mark in 15 episodes of the hit TV series Dwelling Narrowness (2009), and for his role as Howard in the highly successful TV series DuLaLa's Promotion (2010). Weathers has appeared on stage or in front of the camera with Asian stars such as Jacky Chan, Stephanie Sun, Wang Li Hong, Lang Lang, Yang Lan, S.H.E., and Shu Qi. He studied English Literature at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, and in 1995, he received his Masters degree in English Language and Literature from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. After graduation, Weathers worked in London doing marketing projects with the BBC, Penguin Books, and KPMG before returning to his home state of South Carolina.After returning to America, Weathers founded PenPointe LLC, an advertising and marketing agency that specializes in technology-enriched marketing tools, such as web sites, CD-ROMs, corporate videos, TV commercials, and print collateral. PenPointe's client list includes companies such as BMW, Michelin Tire Corporation, Greenville Hospital System, SYNNEX Information Technologies, ElliotDavis, and many other companies representing industries in manufacturing, financial, education, hospitality, and not-for-profit.In 2005, Weathers moved to China to begin learning Mandarin and Chinese culture. In four years, he has become closely connected with Shanghai's media industry. He has worked with Asian stars such as Stephanie Sun, Yang Lan, Jacky Cheung, Wang Li Hong, and S.H.E. He has appeared in over 40 TV commercials for use all over Asia and acted in two Chinese motion pictures. He acted as Mark in 15 episodes of a nationwide TV drama called Dwelling Narrowness, and he has finished acting as Howard in a 2010 TV drama called DuLaLa's Promotion. He is director and host for a web video series called Foreigner Perspective. He is also the host for ICS daily TV show called Expo 360, as well as the host of 9 episodes of the 2009 travel series titled China Untapped, a documentary/educational series filmed all over China.Weathers enjoys exploring new places and has traveled to over 30 countries on six continents. He has also traveled to over 60 cities in China in 30 provinces. His vocational interests include teaching, public speaking, and writing. He has taught seminars on business technology in America, Ecuador and Argentina, and he has also been the featured speaker on the topic of the "Importance of Leadership" to top university students in both North and South America. Weathers has published over 15 articles and essays on business technology, leadership, and travel.
